Sheaves and Applications Reading Group Trinity 2015


We will meet on Wednesday 4-5.30 pm in Week -1 and 0 and on Wednesday 10-11.30 am in Week 1-8.

Schedule.

For approximately the first half of the term the plan is to introduce sheaves and study some of their applications to persistent homology, network coding and sensor networks. For this the primary reference will be Parts I-III of "Sheaves, cosheaves and applications" by Justin Michael Curry:

For the remainder of the term we could look at selected chapters from Part IV of "Sheaves, cosheaves and applications" and/or read relevant papers from the literature.
